5th Annual Wine, Cheese & Chocolate Festival …Friday, June 15, 2012 6:30 pm

Too Good to Be True?

Chocolate that’s good for you!

If rich, dark, yummy chocolate is actually a healthy food then

700 happy wine, cheese and chocolate lovers will find out this

as they gather once again in beautiful

Balboa Park’s Spanish Village

to sample some of the best wines, cheese and chocolate

that California has to offer at the

5th Annual Wine, Cheese & Chocolate Festival

on Friday, June 15th from 6:30 to 9:30pm

The chocolate in question is called Xocai and billed as

“The World’s First Health Grade Belgium Chocolate & Wellness System”.

Xocai (pronounced “show-sigh) is a combination of dark chocolate & Acai Berry

and will be one of the many chocolate tasting samples at the Wine, Cheese and Chocolate Festival.

As in previous years, this popular event is hosted by the Women’s Museum of California as part of their community outreach and fundraising efforts. And again this year, Prudential California Realty has provided commemorative wine glasses for each and every Festival participant to take home.

Museum Director, Ashley Gardner insists on this tradition as it “Just isn’t right to taste good wine in a plastic glass.”

Participants also receive a SWAG BAG containing a variety of

“free” items such as $195 Vouchers for Skin Care,

other discount offers as well as the

commemorative festival wine glass to take home.

Dozens of well-known chocolatiers, wine and cheese vendors will participate by offering samples for tasting and enjoying.

As well, live music for dancing and listening will be provided by

Sue Palmer, San Diego’s Queen of Boogie Woogie,

performing a combination of swing, jazz, and other “rug cutter” styles of music.

The Wine, Cheese and Chocolate Festival

attracts a wide variety of people from our community including many dancers who follow the San Diego music dancing scene.

This event was so well received by the public in previous years,

it sold out two days prior to the event date.

The Festival is held to promote and support the on-going activities at the Women’s Museum of California in service to the San Diego community. This includes both cultural and educational exhibits, community outreach, lectures, vintage clothing presentations, school tours and a well-developed high-school and college student intern program. The museum is scheduled to move to a larger facility at Liberty Station during the summer.

This event does sell out!

Each ticket includes 6 wine and 6 food tastings

Reserved VIP seating is $50

(includes 10 Tasting Tickets, reserved seating and additional drink vouchers.)
