Just a 5 block walk from home there is this Greek Restaurant, Country Kebob, that we would always see driving by on Adams. Somehow always going or coming from somewhere, we never seemed to stop and try the food. So one day I saw a coupon on www.Restaurant.com where you could buy a $25 Gift Certificate for $10.00. Well that gave us the incentive to make an effort to try the restaurant.

Very cute and quaint,  both inside and out.

We decided we would stop by for lunch.
One of my all time favorite Greek food is Taramasalata,
and I was certainly looking forward to it. Let me just say it was delicious, creamy and such a treat.
Not a real fan of dolmas, grape leaves, I tried them and really liked them…
Unfortunately the presentation of the food leaves a lot to be desired…
Everything was all  there but kind of  just lying there on the plate. Hmmm.
Of course being Country Kabob we ordred Kabobs, Lamb to be exact.  Mine was the lunch combo with Gyros and 1 Kabob the Kabob plate has 2 kabobs on it. Both come with a Greek Salad as well.
Again, the taste of the food was ok, but the presentation was just so lacking.  There was never more than 4 of us dining at one time.  Two when we arrived and when they left two more came in. I wondered how the business   survived the past 20 + years they have been in town. The waitress was friendly and attentive, but as I said there were only 4 of us dining. I would say if you were hungry for a quick “Greek meal fix”  to take home, then go for it.
Sadly, I’m glad we had the coupon and didn’t pay full price.
It is not an experience, it’s a meal.
