REVIEW: Trio Restaurant …in Palm Springs

It’s 9:30 Christmas night  in Palm Springs trust me there are not alot of choices to get something to eat. Thank God TRIO was still open. We were fearful it would be one of those ” We can seat you but the kitchen is closing so you have to order right away” experiences We were wrong. We were also nervous as we had been here 3 or 4 times prior to moving and the food was mediocore. At this point we didn’t care. It was open. We always liked the decor, bar and music and it looked very festive for the Holidays. So the food…

What a PLEASANT surprise!  We shared a Mediterrean Salad, then I had the Butternut Squash Ravioli with crispy Sage and a Brown Butter glaze… OMG and the Shrimp Nola, with a Red Garlic Butter sauce over rice with a green onion garnish. Really good. The service was very good and not rushed considering the late hour on Christmas night.  They have a good cross section of wine available too.

We have a special affinity for Travis, a server there. He was our neighbor before we moved to SD. Ask for him, he is great!

Another great thing they have added since we moved is the To Go and Delivery Service. A commodity in Palm Springs!

  1. Good suggestion, I’ve always enjoyed the food and it seems to only get better and better!
